Emmanuel baptist church - air conditioning system

Emmanuel Baptist Church, Oradea, Romania, is the largest Baptist church in Europe with seating for 3000 people, but if you want a seat you need to get there early, as between 5000 and 6000 people crowd into the building each Sunday.

Romanian winters are often very cold, and the summers very hot. We were asked to design and supply an air conditioning system to cope with these greatly fluctuating conditions.

As a result, five Lennox Air to Air Heat Pumps were installed on the roof of the church, with conditioned air being discharged into the auditorium via high level diffusers.
