ET Enterprises – Plowden and Thompson are market leaders in the production of bespoke glass for medical testing equipment and high quality lead crystal tableware.
This was a unique project to provide high temperature extraction from Glass Furnaces within a listed building that is circa 1788. The system is required to run on a constant basis and to reduce risk of fan failure, a twin drive fan was designed and installed to provide a fail safe system.
Project specific extraction hoods were built and installed to locate to the furnace outlets linking via galvanized steel ductwork to the fan system and venting through the roof. Due to the nature of the building specialized supports were required as standard wall support in a building of this age was not possible.
